EXPRESSIVE ARTS GROUPS
Expressive Arts Therapies is an evidence-based discipline of helping and healing that uses the arts as the basis for discovery and change. All five fields of the arts: visual, dance/movement, music, drama/theatre, and writing/poetry, can provide health benefits for the mind-body and spirit. Therapeutic arts can be a form of mindfulness practice, activate the relaxation response, and give you a richer multi-sensory vocabulary for self-expansion & growth.
I am currently completing my certification at the Center for Creative Arts therapy in Chicago toward becoming a (REAT) Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. My goal is to bring the therapeutic arts to communities in need.
